Francisco Rodríguez, a leading Venezuelan economist, warns that U.S. sanctions on Venezuela could cause “hundreds of thousands” of deaths.
A former advisor to opposition presidential candidate Henri Falcon, Rodríguez also lays out his criticisms of the Maduro government as well as what he calls “completely wrongheaded” U.S. meddling.
“I’m very concerned by the lack of discussion of what we’re going to do to stop hundreds of thousands of Venezuelans from starving to death,” Rodríguez says.
Guest: Francisco Rodríguez, Chief Economist at Torino Economics in New York, former head of the National Assembly’s Economic and Financial Advisory Office, and former economic adviser to opposition Venezuelan presidential candidate Henri Falcon.
