Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov has posted online a video of his fight with Mikhail Saakashvili, the ex-Georgian president turned governor of Odessa, which took place in front of Ukraine’s president and other top politicians on December 14.

“I’m sick and tired of the rottenness of political jiggery-pokery and false reprimands of newly-minted moral authorities,” Avakov wrote on his Facebook page Wednesday.

He said he demanded the president’s administration to give him the video, in which the two Ukrainian politicians exchanged unpleasantries, with the blame game resulting in a glass of water flying into Saakashvili’s face from Avakov.

Saying that its content is unpleasant, Avakov insisted: “It’s shameful to hide the truth.”

Earlier, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko’s press secretary, Svyatoslav Tsegolko, said that the fight Monday between the two politicians “disgraces Ukraine”.

“I can see that Arsen Avakov and Mikhail Saakashvili are itching to show the video from the National Reform Council. But such street-style brawls disgrace the country,” he said.

The overly-loud session at the council on December 14 made headlines not for the political decisions made at it, but because of the strong language used by the politicians, with even the president being unable to quiet them.

Saakashvili shouted that the minister “heads corruption,” while Avakov screamed the former Georgian politician must “get the hell out of my country,” blaming him for “screwing” his own [country].

Having posted the video, Avakov accompanied it with a long post, in which he said that he was “surprised to say the least” with Poroshenko’s statement, in which he allegedly accused the interior minister of “xenophobia.”
