Residents of the Donetsk People’s Republic  are getting ready to withstand an invasion by false peacekeepers by means of which Kiev hopes to grasp control over Donbass. More than 1,000 residents took part today in a mass exercise to counter an armed international mission, The training took place in Donetsk north-western district only several km away from Ukrainian armed forces positions.

“The youth gathered to show that armed missions are definitely not welcome in Donbass. We can take care of our own security. The recent election primaries are a perfect example. The people of Donbass showed the world by such gatherings that we have the right to independence,” said Molodaya Respiblika (The Young Republic) social organization leader Nikita Kiosev.

The people of DPR and LPR strongly oppose a possible armed mission deployment to Donbass that has been called for by Ukraine. Its president Petr Poroshenko even requested heavy arms for such missions. The Donetsk and Lugnsk republics emphasize that deployment of armed missions to Donbass is unacceptable and runs counter Minsk Agreements, and could only further escalate the conflict.

Donetsk – More than 1,000 residents of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) took part in a mass exercise to counter an armed international mission if one is deployed to Donbass.

The training is organized by a volunteer team aimed at teaching people how to protect civilians and stand unarmed  against foreign armed fighters who might invade Donbass under the guise of a peacekeeping mission.

“Ukraine pursues a strategy to seize Donbass with others’ hands. The majority of  DPR authorities are under criminal investigation in Ukraine, so Kyiv is looking for a mission to put them behind bars. That’s why we have this exercise – volunteers gathered here who care about Donbass.

“We will not allow any armed mission here, we will stop it with bare hands,” said Roman Troshin, a leader of volunteer team and a master in the sport in boxing.

The participants drilled retaking administrative premises from foreign fighters, breaking through cordons, blocking vehicles, first aids skills and photo and video record-keeping of foreign missions actions.

A similar training was carried out in July in Shakhtersk in eastern DPR. Yesterday, more than 17,000 Lugansk residents took to the streets as part of a protest against a threatened deploment to Donbass of armed international missions under the guise of ‘peacekeeping’.
