The statement reports that the line of defense of Manbij Military Council and SDF fighters against ISIS gangs in the northern side of the Sacur Brook has been completed.

According to the statement, Manbij fighters have taken necessary precautions against probable attacks on liberated areas. “Syrian Democratic Forces fighters have returned to their emplacements to the south of the Sacur Brook, and Manbij Military Council fighters remain in defense position to the north of the brook. As Manbij Military Council fighters, we announce that the operations in northern Manbij have ended and the military campaign will continue with operations in southern Manbij”, said the statement.

The successful ousting of ISIS from Manbij has placed severe strains on ISIS’s supply lines into Syria from Turkey. The city lies near the Syrian-Turkish border.
