Hello Globe and Mail editor,
In her Globe and Mail commentary today (A conflict over ‘Mother Russia’), Erna Paris gives herself over to the right wing regime in Kiev that is bombing its own citizens in the southeast of the country. Worse, she is silent and therefore complicit in the regime’s reliance, if not captivity to, the right wing and fascist militias that are its shock troops.
The claim of a mythical intervention of Russia in Ukraine is a cover-up for human rights atrocities being committed by the governing regime in Kiev. And it’s an apology for the rise of neo-Nazism in Ukraine.
The Canada of the 1930s willingly turned a blind eye to the rise of fascism. History repeats itself. And Ms. Paris is the historian who will teach to us the lessons of history?
Sincerley,
Roger Annis
