The U.S. television interview program Charlie Rose has broadcast a very informative panel discussion on the life and times of Fidel Castro. The November 28 broadcast featured three guests and is 32 minutes long.

The three panelists are:

  • Peter Kornbluh of the Cuba Documentation Project and co-author of Back Channel to Cuba: The Hidden History of Negotiations Between Washington and Havana (University of North Caroline Press, 2014)
  • Julia Sweig, the author of Inside the Cuban Revolution: Fidel Castro and the Urban Underground (Harvard University Press, 2004)
  • Jorge Domínguez of the Harvard Academy for International and Area Studies, an anti-Castro ideologue

Guest host Jeffrey Goldberg interviews Charlie Rose from Havana for the first six minutes of the broadcast. This section of the broadcast voices familiar anti-Cuba tropes.
