Several countries rejected the politicized use of the UN Human Rights Council and the weaponization of human rights against Nicaragua. A speakers list which included DPRK, Venezuela, Belarus, Cuba, Iran, Russia, Eritrea, Syria, and China voiced their opposition to a hostile UN expert report on human rights in Nicaragua.
