The Ukrainian military has shelled the Kiyevskiy district of Donetsk and Spartak settlement of the Yasinovataya district, situated nearby, resulting in the destruction of two residential buildings, the Yasinovataya district administration has told a DNA correspondent.

“Fifteen minutes ago [at  10:15 AM] the UAF carried out shelling of Spartak and Kiyevskiy district of Donetsk. The shells hit residential buildings in Kiyevskiy district in Rudzutak street, No 27 and 37. The buildings are totally destroyed. Evidently, other objects were hit, too, but it is impossible to inspect them right now”, the official said.

According to the agency’s interlocutor, one local dweller – a woman, who was close to the explosion, was shell-shocked, but rejected hospitalization.

The district administration spokesperson underlined that at the moment, the sounds of blasts can be heard from the direction of Putilovka bus station.

“The fire was carried out from mortar-guns and artillery from the direction of Opytnoye and Tonenkoye”, the official said.

The representative of the district administration stressed that Spartak was shelled by Ukrainian forces in the course of entire night from July 9 to July 10.”The inhabitants had to seek shelter in the basements; there was no connection and they could not send out reports”, she said.

Spartak settlement, situated in the area of the Donetsk airport and bordering on Kiyevskiy district of the capital, is subjected to Ukrainian shelling practically on a daily basis. The infrastructure of the residential area there is totally destroyed and it is impossible to restore it due to incessant shelling.

DPR authorities have repeatedly undertaken attempts to evacuate the population of Spartak, but part of the locality dwellers refuse to leave their homes.

 

DPR Defense Ministry records 46 ceasefire violations in one day by the armed forces of Ukraine

Donetsk – The Ministry of Defense of the Donetsk People’s Republic has recorded 46 violations of the ceasefire in the past day by Ukrainian forces, including with the use of heavy weapons..

“The intensity of the attacks on the Ukrainian side for the past day has increased and amounted to 46 violations of the ceasefire, said an official. “They are increasing the number of artillery shelling. ”

According to the defense ministry, the ceasefire violations include 19 artillery and eight tank shells, 125 mines, 82 120mm caliber weapons, rocket-propelled grenades and small arms.

According to the Ministry, regions under fire were the Kiev district in Donetsk, the cities of Horlivka and Dokuchaevsk, and other settlements.

 

Water filtering station in Donetsk damaged as a result of Ukraine Armed Forces shelling

The Donetsk filtering station temporarily stopped functioning because of damages as a result of Ukrainian shelling, the DNA was told by the press-service of the capital administration.

“Functioning of the Donetsk filtering station was terminated. Due to that the supply of water will be reduced by 20% to Kuybyshevskiy, Kiyevskiy, Kirovkiy and Petrovskiy districts of the city”, — the spokesperson of the City Hall said.

The administration of the Yasinovataya district, where the DFS is situated, specified that the shelling was carried out in the morning today from 6:00 till 7:30 AM.

“The DFS was damaged as a result of shelling. Today repair works are being carried out, and the wreck will be fixed in the course of the day, provided that there is no shelling”, — the spokesperson of the City Hall remarked.

The objects of the water supply system of the DPR are regularly subjected to fire from Ukrainian Army positions. The Donetsk filtering station provides with water a part of Donetsk, Yasinovataya and other settlements.

 

Ukrainian forces violated ceasefire regime 34 times in the last 24 hours – Ministry of Defense of DPR

Ukrainian forces have violated the ceasefire regime 34 times in the last 24 hours, the DPR Defense Ministry told the Donetsk News Agency.

“In the course of the past 24 hours, we have recorded 34 ceasefire violations by the Ukrainian side. 12 artillery shells, 185 mortars of 82-mm and 120-mm caliber were fired on the territory of the Republic. Besides, the enemy used grenade launchers and small arms. Ukrainian forces shelled Donetsk (Petrovsky district, Donetsk airport, Oktyabrsky settlement), Gorlovka, Debaltsevo, Dzerzhinskoye, Kalinovka, Sakhanka, Krasny Oktyabr, Lozovoye, Logvinovo. The village of Spartak came under the most intense artillery and mortar fire. One civilian was killed in Gorlovka,” – the DPR Defense Ministry said.

 

Latest news of  situation in Novorossiya, July 10, 2015 (Russian original)

The situation remains tense in the Donetsk People’s Republic. Ukrainian security forces are firing on settlements in Lozove, Gorlovka, Debaltsevo, Sahanki, Zhabichevo, Tauride, Novo Marevki, Shirokino and Grigorovka. Also exposed to heavy fire is the Spartak region near Donetsk airport, according to Donetsk News Agency.

Two reconaissance groups of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were at the airport the day before trying to break into Donetsk, said Vladimir Kononov, Minister of Defense of the DPR. The subversive groups used anti-aircraft guns, armored personnel carriers and infantry fighting vehicles. The attempt to break through was deflected.

Thre were 46 exchanges of fire on all fronts in Novorossiya. Self-defense forces report 27 anti-aircraft guns damaged or destroyed. The UAF lost three men killed and 16 wounded, as well as a battery of mortars and tank.
