A Chinook Helicopter used to transport the troops on Operation Banbarac 3.
The Royal Welsh Fusiliers(The Royal Welch Fusiliers 23rd Foot) on Operation Bambarac 3 in the “Pear”, in North east Nad-e-Ali Region of Helmand Province, Afghanistan. The Operation was a combination of Foot insertion and Helicopter Insertion using Chinook Helicopters. The Operation was used to stabilise a volatile area and to conduct searches within the area.
